Add-Ins & Toppings

👩🍳 Directions

1. Prepare the Dough

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).

  2. Add butter to a saucepan and melt over medium heat.

  3. To brown the butter, continue cooking for 8–10 minutes, stirring occasionally, until golden and fragrant.

  4. Transfer browned butter to a bowl and allow it to cool slightly.

  5. Add almond or hazelnut butter, optional miso, monk fruit sweeteners, egg, and vanilla extract.

  6. Using a hand mixer, blend until smooth and well combined.

2. Add Dry Ingredients

  1. In a separate bowl, sift together almond flour, coconut flour, protein powder, baking soda, and salt.

  2. Fold dry ingredients into the wet mixture until just combined.

3. Fold in the Good Stuff

  1. Fold in chopped B.T.R. Cinnamon Cashew Crunch Bar (tip: microwave the bar for 15 seconds before chopping for easier crumbling), plus almonds and/or hazelnuts if using.

  2. Place cookie dough in the refrigerator for 30 minutes to firm up.

4. Bake & Shape

  1. Using a small cookie scoop, scoop 2 scoops of dough into your hands and roll into balls.

  2. Place evenly spaced on a lined baking sheet (you should get about 18–20 cookies).

  3. Bake for 9–11 minutes, until edges are just set.

  4. Let cookies cool for 3–4 minutes, then carefully transfer to another baking sheet.

    • Optional: use a round object to gently shape cookies into perfect circles while warm.

5. Add the Heart Center

  1. Press a frozen B.T.R. Almond or Hazelnut Butter Heart into the center of each cookie.

  2. Immediately place cookies in the freezer for 15 minutes to set the hearts.

  3. Remove from freezer — and enjoy!
